How do I keep my settings?ĭefault SecureCRT installations do not change, alter, remove, or otherwise put in jeopardy your existing sessions/settings. Cases where an older version may not be removed involve upgrading from very old versions of SecureCRT (5.5.4 and older) to newer versions of SecureCRT.

There is no need to uninstall the older version prior to installing the newer one since in most cases the new version will automatically uninstall the old version for you.

SecureCRT is designed to be installed directly in place of prior versions, so you only need to download the installer, and then run it.
